Machine dimensions are not installation space
Catalog length, width and height describe the referenced equipment, not the space needed to operate and maintain the quoted cell. Obtain a dimensioned arrangement for the actual modules and bottle route. Check it against a measured room plan rather than scaling a catalog photograph.
- Mark conveyors, loading stations, cap supply and discharge positions
- Show guard and cabinet opening envelopes and operator access
- Ask for pump, nozzle, tank and drive removal access where applicable
- Include pipe and cable connections without obstructing the approved access routes
Review production, cleaning and service access
A machine may fit while stopped but become inaccessible when a guard opens or a component is removed. Ask the supplier to show the required access for normal production, the approved cleaning tasks and maintenance. Qualified local teams must review safety clearances and the building conditions; this page does not prescribe aisle widths.
- Show where operators load bottles and caps during production
- Locate cleaning access and the route of wash discharge
- Check service space without relying on movement of adjacent installed machines
- Review doors, columns, clear height and the equipment delivery route separately
Keep returned and finished bottles on defined routes
Show incoming returns, inspection and rejected-bottle holding before the approved preparation and filling route. Keep unprocessed returns from crossing the finished-bottle discharge path. Locate only the working buffers needed at this machine cell; warehouse capacity and complete-factory flow remain separate planning tasks.
- Mark the incoming bottle condition and the dirty-to-clean transition
- Give rejected bottles a defined removal route
- Show manual transfers and the intended rack or conveyor receiver
- Confirm how bottle and cap replenishment reaches the operator stations
Read power, air and water values on the correct basis
Motor power is not total connected load. Air pressure is not air consumption. A recirculating wash-pump rate is not fresh-water use. Ask what each quoted value includes, its units, the operating condition and which demands occur together. Catalog reference values cannot approve the site connections by themselves.
- Identify heating, treatment, conveyors and packaging loads only when they are in the quoted scope
- Keep product-water supply, final rinse and cleaning demand distinct
- Ask for start-up, operating and cleaning conditions where they affect a connection
- If heat or moisture removal is needed for the selected process, request its operating conditions instead of assuming a universal ventilation rate
Close the connection register before installation
Use the same equipment tags on the arrangement, connection schedule and responsibility list. For every unresolved value, record who will confirm it and which drawing or test closes the question. This prevents an available pipe or cable from being mistaken for an approved machine connection.
- Match the selected configuration and drawing revision across all documents
- Name the owner of local pipes, valves, cabling and connecting work
- Mark preliminary values and exclusions explicitly
- Confirm service access, delivery access and local installation review before approving the final arrangement
Information needed for a quote
Send the bottle and cap basis, required BPH, bottle path, factory and utility information, destination and any module or support requirement. Unknown items can remain marked “to be confirmed.”
