Decision summary

Use this page when the decision matches your project

A 5 gallon factory layout should keep dirty returned-bottle receiving and preparation from crossing the clean filling and finished-product route, while providing utilities, drainage and maintainable access.

Suitable for
  • New factory layouts
  • Existing plants adding a large-bottle line
  • Projects correcting dirty and clean traffic conflicts
Not suitable for
  • Using a blank machine footprint as the full layout
  • Publishing fixed area or utility use without a configuration
  • Ignoring empty and full bottle storage
Required inputs
  • Dimensioned building plan
  • Dirty and clean area concept
  • Power, air, water and drain data
  • Operator, bottle and warehouse traffic
01

Separate dirty and clean bottle flow

Place returned-bottle receiving, inspection, decapping and outside washing before the controlled washing and filling route. Avoid crossing full finished bottles with unprocessed returns.

  • Dirty bottle receiving
  • Inspection and reject area
  • Bottle washing area
  • Clean filling area
  • Finished-product release
02

Plan storage and people

Reserve cap storage, chemical storage where applicable, empty-bottle buffer, returned-bottle holding, full-bottle storage, operator routes and maintenance access. Heavy large bottles need practical handling space.

  • Bottle return area
  • Cap and packaging storage
  • Finished bottle storage
  • Operator access
  • Maintenance clearance
03

Coordinate utilities

Confirm electrical supply, compressed air, wash water, treated water, ventilation and drainage. Connection sizes, consumption and discharge are to be confirmed according to capacity and layout.

  • Voltage and frequency
  • Compressed-air pressure and quality
  • Raw, wash and product water
  • Drainage and floor slope
  • Ventilation and humidity
04

Review the real building

The final drawing should use surveyed columns, doors, clear height, floor loading, drains and installed services. Include delivery access and future modules before approving manufacture.

  • Factory length, width and clear height
  • Equipment delivery path
  • Pipe and cable elevations
  • Drain and floor conditions
  • Expansion reserve

FAQ

Short answers, visible boundaries

Project-specific output, hygiene, utilities and service terms belong in the confirmed technical proposal.

How much factory space is required?

To be confirmed according to capacity and layout. A final footprint must include access, storage, utilities and traffic, not only the machine.

Why separate dirty and clean areas?

Returned bottles bring outside soil and used closures. Separating the routes supports controlled washing and protects the clean filling area.

Can the line use existing drains?

Only after drain location, capacity, chemistry, temperature, floor slope and local requirements are checked.
