Define the refill business before the equipment
Estimate normal and peak bottles per day, delivery routes, customer collection, return cycle, bottle losses, production hours and available operators. A smaller controlled line can be more useful than excess rated speed when sales and bottle returns are still developing.
- Daily and peak bottle demand
- Delivery versus customer pickup
- Returnable bottle fleet
- Operating hours and labor
- Planned second-stage capacity
Build the minimum safe process scope
The station scope may include water treatment, product-water storage, empty-bottle inspection, cap removal, external cleaning, internal washing, final rinse, filling, capping and finished-bottle storage. The actual hygiene sequence must follow bottle condition, finished-water requirements and local rules.
- Qualified raw and finished water
- Returned-bottle rejection
- External and internal cleaning
- Controlled filling and closure
- Clean finished-product storage
Choose manual work deliberately
Entry operations may use assisted loading, manual bottle transfers or simple final handling, but every task should be assessed for lifting, pace, contamination risk and consistency. Reserve interfaces so conveyors or preparation modules can be added when route demand grows.
- Safe bottle lifting and handling
- Operator hygiene and work sequence
- Manual transfer count
- Reserved floor and utility interfaces
- Trigger points for automation
Budget for operation, not only purchase
Include bottles, caps, water and energy, treatment consumables, testing, sanitation, labor, delivery vehicles, maintenance, spare parts, packaging, permits and working capital. Equipment price is one part of the commercial plan.
- Bottle fleet and caps
- Treatment and sanitation consumables
- Quality testing and compliance
- Labor, maintenance and spares
- Delivery and working capital
