Decision summary

Use this page when the decision matches your project

A 5 gallon monoblock integrates bottle washing or rinsing, treated-water filling and cap application in one controlled transfer sequence. Its value depends on the approved bottle path and clearly defined interfaces.

Suitable for
  • Large-format water plants needing a coordinated core machine
  • 18.9L and separately reviewed 20L bottles
  • Manual, semi-automatic or automatic line integration
Not suitable for
  • Unsorted severe return contamination without preparation
  • Assuming every optional module is included
  • Unconfirmed bottle and cap compatibility
Required inputs
  • Bottle and cap evidence
  • Required process stages
  • Treated-water interface
  • Loading, discharge and control boundary
01

Washer and bottle transfer

The transfer should stabilize the large bottle through each wash position and allow controlled drainage. Confirm how the machine responds to missing, misaligned or rejected bottles and how operators access wash zones.

  • Bottle holder and transfer geometry
  • No-bottle logic
  • Wash-zone separation
  • Drainage and access
  • Changeover parts if multiple formats
02

Filling control

The filler receives treated water under agreed conditions and fills the approved bottle to the acceptance method defined by the project. Confirm the upstream tank, pump, pipe loop, no-bottle/no-fill logic and cleaning access.

  • Treated-water supply conditions
  • Filling method to be confirmed
  • No-bottle/no-fill
  • Fill check at FAT
  • Drain and cleaning access
03

Cap feeding and capping

Caps need an approved feeder, sorter or chute, any selected treatment step, controlled placement and capping. Compatibility depends on the neck and cap rather than the bottle volume label.

  • Cap hopper and chute
  • Cap treatment if selected
  • Missing-cap detection if selected
  • Cap pressing or sealing method
  • Neck and cap sample approval
04

Controls, guards and maintenance

Ask for PLC/HMI functions, alarms, interlocks, recipe access, safe stopping, guards and maintainable access. Do not assume electrical brands, stainless grades or remote support features until stated in the quotation.

  • Control architecture
  • Alarm and reset logic
  • Safety guards and stops
  • Lubrication and wear parts
  • Electrical and pneumatic documents

FAQ

Short answers, visible boundaries

Project-specific output, hygiene, utilities and service terms belong in the confirmed technical proposal.

Is a monoblock the complete line?

No. It is the core integrated machine. Decapping, external brushing, inspection, leak testing, bagging, racks and water treatment may be separate modules.

Does every machine include PLC/HMI?

Control scope depends on the selected configuration. It must be stated in the technical proposal.

Can the machine change between 18.9L and 20L?

Potentially, after bottle and cap review. Change parts, adjustments, recipe and performance must be confirmed.
